An interjection is a part of speech that expresses an emotion or a feeling. These can be feelings of happiness, surprise, disgust, relief, etc… They can also express a greeting, sounds or agreement.
Most injections are found at the beginning of the sentence and are separated from other parts of the sentence with punctuation, usually an exclamation point.
