If you have a 4 to 11-year-old daughter, chances are you heard of L.O.L Surprise Dolls. If you haven’t heard of them, they are small dolls and accessories wrapped in blind bags. Before you get to the blind bags, you have to unwrap the small round balls wrapped in layers of plastic. Your child’s eyes brighten as they rip through each layer of plastic.
Once you get through the layers of plastic, a ball is revealed. Your child opens the ball to find small bags with either a doll, little sister, or pet inside and other bags filled with their accessories.
My 5-year-old loves L.O.L Surprise dolls. These are the only toys she has been playing with for the last 1 1/2 years. So, of course, she wanted to have a L.O.L doll party.
Party Activities
The first thing I thought about was the activity. What kind of activity could I have the girls do? Then I thought, sugar scrub, it’s easy, a take-home gift, it would be perfect!
Sugar Scrub
I purchase these jars from Amazon. They are plastic 8 oz slime jars. Making slime was another activity I was thinking about doing; also very popular right now, but my daughter wanted sugar scrub.

To make the sugar scrub. I purchase one bag of sugar, one pack of neon food coloring, one bottle of baby oil, and lavender.
I divided the entire bag of sugar equally into three plastic containers I purchased at the dollar store ( I wanted to make clean-up easy and throw them away after the party).
Next, I poured some baby oil into the containers with the sugar and mixed it. There is no perfect formula to this; You want the mixture to be kind of wet looking but not too wet where it looks like soup. After a good consistency, add some lavender for a nice smell.
Finally, I added purple to one container, blue to the next container, and green to the last container, and mixed them until the color was well blended.

I also purchased L.O.L Surprise Doll stickers with which the girls would decorate the jars.

I used a black permanent marker to write the girls’ names on the bottom of the jars.
While making the sugar scrub, I could use it on my hands. The baby oil and sugar mixture made my hands very soft. The lavender fragrance smelled great.
Makeover
For every party that I do, I always have a photo backdrop. Kids love taking pictures of themselves. I usually do simple backdrops using a tablecloth and some props. Since I knew I would do a photo booth and this was a L.O.L Surprise Doll party, I thought, why don’t I glam the girls up a bit? I purchased some glittery little girl makeup from Amazon and Justice and some extra eye shadow brushes and Q-tips to put the makeup on the girls. I also asked for the parent’s permission before putting makeup on the girls.

Since I was doing the girl’s make-up, I also decided to do their nails. I only picked two colors, purple and pink, and a clear glitter top coat.
My daughter got super excited about the make-up and nails.
Since big JoJo bows are all the craze right now, and some of the L.O.L Dolls have big bows. I thought wouldn’t it be great to get each of the girls big bows! I looked on Amazon, and I found these 8-inch glitter bows. It was a pack of 12 or only $15.99. I decided to purchase them.

These bows were amazing. I loved them so much, and the price was great. I decided to buy a second pack just for my daughter.

Decorations
The next thing I thought about was decorations. Luckily L.O.L Dolls are so popular right now that they have a bunch of decorations at Party City and Amazon.

I purchased the L.O.L Surprise Doll photo backdrop. It came with different L.O.L Surprise photo props, including signs, eyes, and L.O.L Doll’s hair.

The girls had a blast using taking photos. As an extra take-home gift, I took the girl’s photos using my cell phone and printed them out using my home printer. I gave each girl their picture before going home.
I also purchased a L.O.L Surprise Doll tablecloth, decorations, and a pinata. Instead of goody bags, each girl would take home her sugar scrub, bow, photo, and a L.O.L little sister doll (they are cheaper than the regular doll). Since I only had a small group of girls, I could swing the $6.99 for the L.O.L. little sister.

I purchased the L.O.L Surprise Doll Pinata at Party City. I filled it with candies and L.O.L Surprise Doll Lip Gloss that i also purchased at Party City. The Pinata had strings that hung down. The girls did not need to hit the pinata with the stick. They just had to pull one of the strings.
I also purchased the L.O.L Surprise Doll tablecloth, cups, plates, and napkins.

Food
I wanted to serve small finger foods at the party. I purchased pizza rolls and made cupcakes, brownies, cookies, strawberries, and marshmallow skewers. The girls loved the strawberry and marshmallow skewers best. I simply cut strawberries and alternated strawberries and marshmallows on the skewers.

After the girls were glammed up, photos were taken, sugar scrub was made, food was eaten, and the pinata was destroyed. I had the girls play freeze dance until their parents came to pick them up.
The girls had a wonderful time at the party. Some said it was the best day ever. The girls went home with their makeup and nails done. Each one had a bow in their hair. They had the sugar scrub they made, the candy from the pinata. It was a fabulous day!
