Easy Popsicles Kids Can Make

Everyone loves a popsicle!  What’s good about making popsicles at home is that you can control what’s in them and make healthier choices.  Each recipe below has a healthy choice option.  So get those kids in the kitchen and start making some popsicles. Tip: keep popsicles in the freezer for a great after school snack or light desert.

Banana Pops

Ingredients: banana, popsicle stick, sprinkles, melting chocolate  

Don’t have the taste for chocolate substitute with honey or peanut butter!

Don’t want to use sprinkles, chopped nuts coconut or other toppings.


Step 1: Cut banana in half and stick on the popsicle stick.

Step 2: Dip banana in melted chocolate peanut butter or honey

Step 3: Roll banana in sprinkles, nuts, coconut or topping of choice.

Step 4: Place in the freezer for 2-4 hours or until coating is hard and enjoy!

*Healthier choice use honey and chopped almonds 


Pudding Pops

ingredients: any flavor instant pudding mix, 1 cup cool whip, paper cups, popsicle sticks

Step 1: Make instant pudding according to package.

Step 2: Add in 1 cup of Cool Whip.

Step 3: pour mixture into paper cups.

Step 4: Place popsicle stick in the middle of the cup.

Step 5: Place cup in freezer for 2-4 hours or until solid.

Step 6: When frozen pull stick to remove popsicle from the cup and enjoy!

*Healthier choice use sugar free pudding and Cool Whip light


Yogurt and Jam Popsicles 

ingredients: 3/4 cups of vanilla (or any flavor) yogurt , 4 tablespoons of your favorite flavor jam/jelly, ice cube tray, popsicle or silicone mold, popsicle sticks

Step 1: Combine the yogurt and jam/jelly.

Step 2: Pour mixture into ice cube tray, popsicle or silicone mold.

Step 3: Add popsicle stick.

Step 4: Freeze to 2-3 hours or until hard and enjoy!

*Healthier choice use light or Greek yogurt and low sugar jelly or jam
