Creating a Me Tree is a fun self-esteem activity for kids and teens. Children will create a tree representing positive things about themselves in this self-esteem activity. This great project can be displayed in a classroom, the wall of your child’s room, or anywhere in the home to remind kids and teens how special they are.
Materials
- 11×14 white paper (a heavy-weight construction paper or poster board would work best
- Colored construction paper
- crayons
- Markers
- Glue
- Scissors
Instructions
Children can draw a Me Tree or Me Flower.
Me Tree
Have each child draw a tree trunk with branches on the white paper.
Have each child cut out leaves from the construction paper.
On the leaves, have each child write something they like about themselves.
Glue the leaves to the tree.
Have the children color the paper
Me Flower
Have each child draw a flower stem in the middle of the page.
Have children cut out pedals from construction paper
On the flower pedals, have children write something they like about themselves.
Glue the flower petals around the flower stem.
