This fish bowl craft is a great project to do with young children. It makes a cute wall for bulletin board display for a day care, pre-school or elementary school. Follow the step-by-step directions below to make your very own fish bowl craft.
Materials: Goldfish, Cheerios, crayons, construction paper, glue optional paint brush and paper plate if you want to paint the glue on
Step 1: Draw a fish bowl on the children’s paper. I do not recommend drawing one fishbowl and making photo copies. The project will come out better on construction paper. It doesn’t have to be perfect, as you can see below.
Step 2: Have the children color the fish bowl. They can make water, rocks, sand, coral etc…
Step 3: When the children are finished have them glue the Cheerios onto the bottom of the fish bowl. Instead of having the children glue each individual Cheerio on, I had them paint glue onto the bottom of the fish bowl first then place each Cheerio on.
Step 4: Have the children glue on a couple of Goldfish. Again I had the children paint on the glue then place the Goldfish on. I also painted so glue over the Goldfish to reinforce them on.
