It doesn’t take that much time, and you don’t need a lot of materials. 

Follow the directions below to make your own melted crayon pumpkin craft.

Melted Crayon Pumpkin


  • Pumpkin: you can use a white or orange pumpkin
  • Crayons
  • Newspaper and or paper plates
  • Hair dryer

Step 1

Place your pumpkin on a piece of newspaper and paper plate.

Step 2

Pick a couple of crayons (4-5) and peel off the paper. Break the crayons so they can fit on top of your pumpkin. A pumpkin that is wide and flat towards the top works best. If you need to, you can glue the crayons around the pumpkin

Step 3

Using a hairdryer, melt the crayons.  The crayons will begin to melt in 1-2 minutes.  Continue melting the crayons with the hair dryer until you get the look you want.
