DIY S’More Brownie Directions

Step 1:  Start by making the brownie mix according to the package.  You will use about 1 and 1/2 boxes of the brownie mix for the recipe.   You can make small brownies in a cupcake pan with the leftover mixture.

Step 2: Use the non-stick spray to cover your entire brownie pan.  Make sure the bottom and sides are covered.

Step 3: Pour the brownie mixture into the bottom of the pan.  Make sure the entire bottom is evenly covered.  It should be a little less than 1/2 inch thick at the bottom.

Step 4:  Cover your brownie mixture with graham crackers. You can either place the entire cracker over the brownie mixture or crumble the graham crackers up and place them on the brownie mixture.

After making these brownies, I recommend breaking the graham crackers into small pieces and placing them on the brownie mixture.

Add graham crackers to the brownie mixture.

Step 5:  Cover your graham crackers with a layer of mini marshmallows.  During the summer, I saw flat marshmallows in the stores to make s’mores.  I looked for them when I wanted to try this recipe. However, I could not find them.  If you have them in the stores around by you, you may want to try using them.

Add marshmallows to the brownie mixture.

Step 6: Using more of your brownie mixture, cover the marshmallows.  Ensure you use enough batter to cover all the marshmallows evenly.  If you have a little brownie mixture left over, you can use it to make little brownies in a cupcake tray.

add the remaining brownie mixtures on top.

Step 7:  Cook brownies for 50 minutes, depending on your oven.  It’s a little difficult to test if they are ready, as you cannot stick anything to test them through the middle because of the graham crackers.  This is why I recommend using a glass pan so that you can see the bottom and sides. I did not use one, but I would if I had to do it again. If you aren’t using a glass pan, you can test them by sticking the toothpick through close to the edge of your pan.  Wait until they are completely cool before cutting them.
